CURRICULUM VITAE

SEGUN CAEZAR

Professional Summary

Segun Caezar is a Nigerian-born, Toronto-based visual artist known for his hyperrealistic portraits of Black subjects layered with symbolism and emotional depth. His recent works explore identity, legacy, and transformation through the recurring presence of koi fish— the silent witnesses that evoke ancestral endurance and spiritual memory.

Drawing from Yoruba storytelling, diasporic history, and personal migration, Caezar’s practice merges visual precision with poetic storytelling. A self-taught artist with a background in administration and marketing, he approaches his work with both creative vision and strategic clarity.
