In Dreamscape, reality dissolves into reverie. A young Black subject, eyes closed in stillness, becomes the silent centre of a surreal current—where koi swim not in water, but in memory, spirit, and dream.

Each koi represents an ancestral presence—watchful, enduring, eternal. Their quiet orbit evokes a sense of protection and transformation, as if dreams themselves are keepers of history. The subject, serene and unreachable, is both the dreamer and the dreamed—a figure suspended between rest and resistance.

Rendered in luminous realism, Dreamscape continues Caezar’s exploration of Black identity, historical inheritance, and the metaphysical symbolism of koi.
